Small experiments. Some will not work.
This is a deliberate restart. An earlier public Labs page and its README-generation tool were retired on 2026-08-28. This version of the Lab makes a narrower promise: small, dated experiments, described plainly, including the ones that fail.
What an entry can hold.
- The question the experiment was trying to answer.
- What was built: hardware, software, or a model, with the source where it exists.
- The steps taken, the outcome, and any failures or limitations found along the way.
- A next step, and a link to a related roadmap item or changelog entry when one exists.
Why the restart is narrower.
The previous Lab page offered a live tool for generating a project README and framed exploratory work in a way that read as more finished than it was. Retiring it was the honest call. This Lab holds only dated, plainly described experiments, not standing tools.
The Raspberry Pi 5 development prototype is the current physical testbed for most of what will show up here. Not every experiment leads anywhere, and an entry that fails will say so rather than being quietly removed.
What is not claimed.
No lab entries are published yet. Nothing here is a finished feature, a benchmark, or a claim about how a shipped product performs, and an experiment failing here does not mean it will not be revisited later.
